Junior DevOps Engineer
The DevOps engineer will provide support services for the development life-cycle of enterprise-level projects. This role will be part of the Engineering department and will handle internal and external technology infrastructure to support Vardot’s SLAs, and provide a smooth and automated development/deployment lifecycle.
Support, monitor, and manage internal IT infrastructure networks and servers.
Participate in the building of tools and processes to support the infrastructure.
Support, monitor, and manage an always-available cloud-based SaaS platform for our Clients.
Setup, monitor, and build monitoring tools to find problems, resolve them, and/or escalate to development and ensure that we exceed our SLAs.
Build and manage a schedule for Drupal updates regularly as it pertains to our SLAs.
Continuous Integration Cycle:
Support and maintain the Continuous Integration cycle for all internal and client projects.
Support application deployments, building new systems and upgrade and patching existing ones.
Develop automation to quickly and rapidly deploy instances from hardened images.
Build and manage development and testing environments, assisting developers in debugging application issues using tools
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or any relevant field.
1 - 3 years of related experience.
Track record of delivering results on time.
Strong experience with Linux or UNIX in a software development environment.
Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills. Ability to debug system failure and performance issues in production systems.
Experience with a language (probably scripting) for tool building. bash scripting/PHP is preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal skills.
Ability to write technical instructions in the use of tools and/or program modifications.
Curiosity to learn new technologies.
Nice to Have :
Expertise with software automation production systems and CI/CD tools.
Experience using VMWare.
Drupal/CMS knowledge is a huge plus.
