Digital Projects Manager

Amman, Jordan

The Digital Projects Manager will be required to operate Vardot projects from inception to go-live and beyond. That said, as a Digital Projects Manager at Vardot, with a role built around creating the web, you'll be handling a number of responsibilities including client management, team management, business analysis, quality assurance, and cost management towards successful completion of projects in excellent quality and high customer satisfaction. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 


                                                                  General Responsibilities: 

                                                                  • Manage multiple projects and/or work packages delivery, through estimations, planning and UX/UI, execution, development, QA phase, launch, and post-launch support. 

                                                                  • Perform user acceptance testing for requirements delivered before sending to the client. 

                                                                  • Involve the right team members to ensure successful delivery. 

                                                                  • Make sure sprints and milestones are being met on a day-to-day basis.

                                                                  • Plan and schedule project sprints or milestones.

                                                                  • Operate, follow up, and manage project phases within Vardot processes in agreed-upon OLA. 

                                                                  • Work with the Project Leads to identify and mitigate project risks and remove barriers to project success. Escalate potential risks to the project delivery Manager. 

                                                                  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.

                                                                  • Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.

                                                                  • Continuously revise the projects’ general statuses to verify their adherence to their corresponding baselines. 

                                                                  • Responsible for producing project schedule and document reviews; facilitating team members; and supporting project reviews.

                                                                  • Responsible for the project launch and post-launch activities supporting the technical team and responding to client inquiries and comments.

                                                                  • Accurately forecast and track billing milestones and remaining costs on all projects. Analyze project profitability and revenue results and correct root causes as necessary.

                                                                  • Monitor time logging of team members.

                                                                  • Understand each client’s organization, goals, and objectives.

                                                                  • Manage client and third-parties involved in the project to successfully meet milestones.

                                                                  Project Management & Monitoring: 

                                                                  • Manage project's JIRA boards, and JIRA projects configurations to reflect the project's status on daily basis.

                                                                  • Maintain project’s backlog and requirements in JIRA and other requirement gathering systems (Spreadsheets, Basecamp, Design assets). 

                                                                  • Responsible for tracking budgets and schedules, managing scope, creating project plans, scrubbing ticket queues, raising risks, and managing a team to successful project completion. 

                                                                  • Build and manage JIRA dashboards to provide instant reporting. 

                                                                  • Approve, and manage weekly time logged on projects.

                                                                  • Send and communicate monthly timesheets for billing purposes.

                                                                  • Track and log time on tasks on daily basis.

                                                                  • Report to supervisor on accomplished tasks and deliverables.

                                                                  Communication & Reporting Responsibilities: 

                                                                  • Hold Scrum daily meetings, sprint planning meetings, and sprint retrospective meetings. Ability to communicate and work well with others and be a team player.

                                                                  • Hold meetings with clients, and internal teams to successfully move the project forward.

                                                                  • Write, send, and properly communicate meeting agendas, minutes of meetings held in a project.

                                                                  • Manage meeting's pace, time, and agenda. 

                                                                  • Report on the status of the project to the client, team members, and supervisor.

                                                                  • Guide the team on how to get the most out of self-organization. 

                                                                  • Make sure response times with clients are at their optimum. Communicate with clients in a timely fashion.

                                                                  Department Responsibilities: 

                                                                  • Establish the needed functions for initiating new projects with coordination with other departments applying Vardot’s PMO processes and ensuring the ability to comply with client requirements.

                                                                  • Assist in evolving and adjusting project baselines as per the policies to best serve the interest of both; the client and Vardot.

                                                                  •  Responsible for helping projects’ design, technical & QC teams in the application of Vardot project management methodology, tools, and processes on the assigned projects. 

                                                                   

                                                                  REQUIRED COMPETENCIES FOR THIS ROLE:

                                                                  • Bachelors degree in computer science, CIS, MIS, or related majors.

                                                                  •  A minimum of 4  years of experience in web project management

                                                                  • Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work

                                                                  • Communicating with Supervisors or Peers: Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates in written form, e-mail, or in person.

                                                                  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems: Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

                                                                  • Getting Information: Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.

                                                                  • Documenting/Recording Information: Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.

                                                                  • Developing and Building Teams: Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

                                                                  • Excellent problem-solving skills. Curious and adept at researching project-related issues and challenges.

                                                                  •  Strong communication skills.

                                                                  • Strong command of Arabic and English languages in both speaking and writing.

                                                                  • Good listening and negotiation skills.

                                                                  • Understands how to tactfully communicate difficult/sensitive information.

                                                                  •  Comfortable using teleconferencing and web-based technology to communicate with our clients.

                                                                  •  Good decision-maker with the flexibility to make quick and effective decisions when needed.

                                                                  • Strong command in writing reports using visual elements.

                                                                  • Getting Information: Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.

                                                                  • Understands and demonstrates proficient knowledge and experience in Agile project management methodologies and specifically Scrum.

                                                                  • Understands web trends, including social media integration and the impact of the growth of mobile/tablet browsing.

                                                                  •  Open-source software understanding

                                                                  • Strong in research and in using the internet as a good resource of information.

                                                                  • Good knowledge in Drupal to facilitate client needs and support during the project life cycle.

                                                                  • Good knowledge of MS-Office tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint).

                                                                  • Strong command in project management software, such as MS-Project.

                                                                  • Nice to have PMP, CAPM, or any Project Management Related Certificate.

                                                                  • Nice to have CMS  Related Certificate.
