Digital Projects Manager

Overview of the Digital Projects Manager position

We are looking for a Projects Manager who will be required to operate Vardot projects from inception to go live and beyond. That said, as a Projects Manager at Vardot, with a role built around creating the web, you'll be handling several responsibilities, including client management, team management, business analysis, quality assurance, and cost management towards completing projects in excellent quality and high customer satisfaction.

General responsibilities 

  • Manage multiple projects and/or work packages through estimations, planning and UX/UI, execution, development, QA phase, launch, and post-launch support. 
  • Perform user acceptance testing for requirements delivered before sending to the client. 
  • Involve the right team members to ensure successful delivery. 
  • Make sure sprints and milestones are being met on a day-to-day basis.
  • Plan and schedule project sprints or milestones.
  • Operate, follow up, and manage project phases within Vardot processes. 
  • Work with the Project Leads to identify and mitigate project risks and remove barriers to project success. Escalate potential risks to the project delivery Manager. 
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Guiding the team and organization using Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
  • Continuously revise the projects' general statuses to verify their adherence to their corresponding baselines. 
  • Responsible for producing project schedule and document reviews, facilitating team members, and supporting project reviews.
  • Responsible for the project launch and post-launch activities, supporting the technical team, and responding to client inquiries and comments.
  • Accurately forecast and track billing milestones and remaining costs on all projects. Analyze project profitability and revenue results and correct root causes as necessary.
  • Monitor time logging of team members.
  • Understand each client's organization, goals, and objectives.
  • Manage client and third parties involved in the project to meet milestones successfully.

Job requirements

  • A minimum of 4  years of experience in web project management is recommended.
  • Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work.
  • Communicating with Supervisors or Peers: Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates in written form, e-mail, or person.
  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems: Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Getting Information: Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Documenting/Recording Information: Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
  • Developing and Building Teams: Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills. Curious and adept at researching project-related issues and challenges.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good listening and negotiation skills.
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Comfortable using teleconferencing and web-based technology to communicate with our clients.
  • Good decision-maker with the flexibility to make quick and effective decisions when needed.
  • Strong command in writing reports using visual elements.
  • Getting Information: Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Understands and demonstrates proficient knowledge and experience in Agile project management methodologies, specifically Scrum.
  • Understands web trends, including social media integration and the impact of mobile/tablet browsing growth.
  • Open-source software understanding.
  • Strong in research and using the internet as a good information resource.
  • Good knowledge of Drupal facilitates client needs, and support during the project life cycle is recommended.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong command in project management software, such as MS-Project.
  • Nice to have a bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS, MIS, or related majors.
  • Nice to have PMP, CAPM, or any Project Management Related Certificate.
  • Nice to have CMS  Related Certificate.
